Specialist Programs
Specialist programs are hosted by tourism boards, cruise lines, and hotel brands for advisors to learn more about their products or destinations. I have participated in a number of specialist programs, such as New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, polar regions and cruising, and more. The benefit to my clients is that I have direct experience and access to suppliers in destination who can add exceptional value to your trip.
Tourism New Zealand
The Gold Specialist designation with Tourism New Zealand indicates that not only have I done the required modules and trainings but I’ve also explored the country. I keep this one fresh by continuing to learn about the up and coming offerings around Middle Earth.
Tourism Australia
The Aussie Specialist designation means I’ve participated in various trainings, completed webinar modules, and passed quizzes with flying colours. Aussie specialists have access to itinerary building tools and conferences to connect with suppliers around the country.
Tourism Ireland
Tourism Ireland bestows the Ireland Specialist badge on those who participate in live trainings, pre-recorded modules, and quizzes. As an Ireland Specialist, I have access to itinerary building tools, images, and more.
Certified Polar Advisor
I’ve actually done a few of these! This is Arctic Kingdom’s badge. As a polar specialist, not only do I know the ins and outs of polar travel, but I also understand, and can share with clients, the scientific and cultural nuances of visiting these remote regions.
